PA FBI Clearance Procedure Change - Anyone fingerprinted on or after December 1, 2008, will not receive an official record of their PA FBI clearance from the PA Department of Education. You must now input your Cogent Registration Number into the text field located in the Additional Questions Section. For more information on the actual process, please visit the PDE website.

Please Note:

1. If you were fingerprinted prior to that date and the clearance is not expired, you should still mail a copy of that document to PA-Educator.


2. PA-Educator.net will accept a placeholder for the FBI Clearance. However, we will only accept:
   
   A Notarized Affidavit. To use the affidavit as a placeholder for your PA FBI Criminal History Record, print the affidavit form (link below), complete it, have it notarized, and send the original notarized affidavit to PA-Educator.net.


3. Out-of-State Applicants - We will also accept a current FBI Criminal History Record from your state of residence or a Notarized Affidavit.
